For my first attempt at a music video, I chose brynjolfur's I love you. The concept had been vividly in my mind for years: a person walking home late at night on brightly lit streets, completely absorbed in their music, dancing freely and without inhibition. It was a vision of pure, unfiltered joy and liberation.
The shoot was spontaneous and low-budget—we filmed everything in just 30 minutes and edited it within 2 hours. Adding to the experience, the creative process was fueled by a bit of carefree, tipsy fun. While the handheld camera work could have been smoother (a gimbal would have been a welcome addition), the raw and shaky aesthetic ultimately captured a dizzy, dreamlike quality that felt authentic to the mood and the moment.
