a note on this role
I joined Lounge GROUP (New land media to be specific) in July 2025 without a clear enough picture of who the company's clients were, or what that work was doing. That's on me. I should have looked harder before I signed.
For years the Lounge group was the dominant supplier of Hungarian state communication and event work, largely through the National Communication Office — Átlátszó put the total at over 290 billion forints. It's the company behind the government's poster campaigns. Since the 2026 change of government, the group has been the subject of criminal investigations into breach of trust and money laundering, has had accounts frozen, and has had its state framework agreements terminated. None of that has been decided by a court, and I won't claim more than what's been reported.
What I can speak to is my own position: I don't think the campaigns this company is best known for were good for this country, and I'm not willing to list this job without saying so.
My work sat on the corporate side of the business: social media design, video editing and presentation design for commercial clients. I was not assigned to government campaigns, and none of the work in that section comes from one.
I'm including the role because leaving it off would be its own kind of dishonesty.
